Thanks to all that responded to this help request. What I found was that the primary tensioner failed (it was brand new) due to oil pressure problem and the chain jumped resulting initially in the computer ignoring the cam sensor so that it would still run. ... Trouble codes: P1391 (Loss of CMP and/or CRNK Signal).
