1995 Ford Ranger 4.0L Poor Idle Quality, Misfire
Hi all. This one has me scratching my head. Customer
attempted to cure a rough idle himself by replacing plugs,
wires and coil pack. He said it ran better after he

1996 Ford Pickup 7.3L No Start
This Powerstroke will start as soon as you touch the key
when the engine is cold. If you let it get warm and shut it
off it will not restart. Codes stored are P1280 and P1212 -
Both ICP Codes. I Replaced ICP Regulator and High Pressure

2002 Ford Pickup 4.6L Misfire
My question is why would these coils fail for a third time?
Customer states both coils have been replaced two times
before this repair. Failures are specific at cylinders 3/4.
I use a Rotunda IDS and koer test passed, power balance
looks good and all fuel trim... Trouble codes: P303 (cylinder 3 misfire), P304 (cylinder 4 misfire). |

2005 Ford Econoline 6.8L oil

2005 Ford Taurus 3.0L 1-2 2-3 shifts
trans slips badly 1-2 shift and nuetralizes 2-3. checked
speed sensors ,MLP, and all other input and outputs to

fixed,thanks guys this was a luandry bisness van and never sat more than 4-5 hours.but one of the wires over the colum were cracked in side the plastic shield and was still attached didnt notice at first,but shes done now. |

1998 Ford Explorer 4.0L 2-3 shift
We replaced the epc solenoid and adj. band to one and a half turns. Initally it still shifted bad,but after driving it about a week it cleared up. Thanks for all the replies. |

2004 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6L Poor Idle Quality, IDLE HIGH
ONE OF OUR MECHANIC'S PUT A DIFFERENT IAC MOTOR ON IT WHICH WAS ABOUT A QUARTER INCH LONGER! FORTUNATLY WE NOTICED THE DIFFERANCE. PUT RIGHT ONE ON AND PROBLEM SOLVED. |

1996 Mercury Sable 3.0L Wipers
This car came in with wipers not shutting off. Replacing the New Wiper Motor with another New Wiper Motor fixed the problem. Looks like a common problem according to the majority of the responses. Thanks to all who replied. |

Thank you all for your input. I got quite the variety of responses! To answer the basic question, there does not seem to be anything to support the use of 10w30 oil. It is much better to stick with manufacturer recommended viscosity. Others out there have used... |
