2001 Mazda MX-5 Miata 1.8L MIL Lamp on
Scanned codes and data. 0.0 volts out on downstream O2
sensor, but ohms are within specs. I found the plug at the
drivers seat. I want to know if there are any more plugs
that are before the ECU for the rear O2 sensor.
The CMP code never reset after I cleared... Trouble codes: P0037 (HO2 rear sensor heater circuit low), P1345 (Cam position CMP circuit malfunction). |

Everything on this car is checked thoroughly, MAF has been
replaced. Car runs fine till 2800RPM then it acts like a
rev limiter is kicking in preventing it from revving
further more. It acts like an auto car in park which will
not go above certain RPM. |

Thank you to Bob [...] for pointing us in the right direction...as it turns out the o2 sensor was stuck in lean and causing the computer to jack the fuel to the roof..we replaced the sensor and all is well...thank you to all the other techs that replied as w... Well.. I finally gave up!! We sent this thing down to the local toyota dealership to let them take a look at it! Low and behold.. they couldn't figure it out either. The owners then decided to tow it back home... in CANADA! |

The customer never returned at this point. According to the replies, the circuit should be tested under load, i.e. check amperage draw. Others mentioned problems with TPS wires and grounds. One person did mention that computer failures do happen on these vehic... Trouble codes: p0141 (Heater circuit bank 2), p0135 (heater circuit bank 1), p0773 (TCC solenoid circuit). |
