Fuel and Speedometer go dead and after awhile the odometer reads No Bus. We have been able to get codes 1698 No Bus message from BCM, and 1716 No communication with PCM. This happens intermittently. Customer came in with MIL on. Code for very small leak was storede in memory. I have run though the system, plugged off verious componants and have run the on board tests multiple times. After reviewing the responses we decided that we had a problem with the control head or the mixture servo motor. I borrowed a control head with no change so i ordered a servo motor and after replacing it everything was ok. Thanks again for all of the responses...

Replaced the injection pump and it fixed the problem. We had already replaced the lift pump. Thanks for the replies. I needed that extra push to spend the bucks. Trouble codes: P0216 (fuel injection pump timing failure), P0380 (intake air heater 1 relay control circuit).

2002 Dodge Durango SLT 4.7L Stall, MIL Lamp on VIN: 1B4HS48N32
The update gives information on our first of this two part problem, that the timing chains had jumped. The second issue that reared its ugly head once the timing chains were reset was that the suv would start and stay running, but quickly developed a rough idl... Trouble codes: P1391.
