I own an old (96) STS Northstar and have allways noticed this. I can start it up overnight cold, Temp. in the teens, and it will be warmed up within two miles. The heater wont blow on auto until a certain temp, seems like 120, and it is blowing within 1 mile. ... Login to read more.
