The 2002 2.7 litre used a NGC controller not an SBEC. The CMP on the 02 does not use an eight volt supply as you found out. I believe the cam gear on the 02 engine has an extra slot so it will not synchronize with the older controller. I have not tried to inst... Login to read more.
