possibly a defeat or kill device(or starter) installed by car dealer or rental and it's malfunctioning. see if any wiring has been invaded. once this is figured out ( i hope) look hard at the cat conv't, it may be junk now. sounds like a tough one, good luck, ... Login to read more.
