I have seen a few cases of engine failure of Mid 90 Ford 3.8l; Windstar, Taurus. When they fail, first 2 cylinders (#1, #4) throw rods, even sheer crank…. (not as common as head gasket problems and leaking coolant from timing cover, tho).
