I have a 1985 BMW 318i in the shop that surges at idle when cold and goes away when hot. It surges from 600-1200 and back to 600 rpm every second until it's warm. Checked all vacuum lines... Cleaned out Idle Air Valve and set it to 460 milliamp draw as per TSB... Login to read more.
