I actually prefer to use fuel hose whenever I can, as it it stronger and oil resistant. I buy 7.5mm Grman fuel hose from Worldpac for use on the Japanese cars' bypass hoses to the throttle bodies, etc. It is the right size to re-use the spring clam... Login to read more.
