Factory aluminum rims or aftermarket? I had a Ford one time did the same thing. For lack of a better description, had shoulder style lug nuts instead of tapered. Shoulders were just a tad too long, went down and stopped on hub. Torqueing just tightened bolt ag... Login to read more.
