I just scoped a cars 3X and 18X and cam signals last week that looked just as uneven on the top as yours do. I would forget that and look elsewhere.

Have you checked vacuum at idle and at 2500 rpm? If that seems a problem maybe a cam/crank relatio... Login to read more.
