O/K, we have a 16 ohm resistor and a 3 ohm solenoid in series.

Thats gives us a total Circuit resistance (RT) of 19 ohms

Lets assume the it gets battery voltage and thats 14v.

So we now need to work out the current flow - A=V/RT = 14/19 = 0.7368A
