Wayne, the clicking noise gives it away. It's a bad blend door motor. The small plastic gears inside the motor wear out and a few teeth fall off. If the clicking stopped more teeth most likely fell off. Be glade it's a '97 and not a '98.:o) The job isn't that ... Login to read more.
