The upper intake plenum is covered under the 7 yr/70,000 emmision warranty, I have replaced many under this warranty myself. I believe that the 7yr/70,000 emmision warranty didn't come into effect until 2000, so your 97 was bought with only a 3 yr/36,000 warra... Login to read more.
