I looked at my SJ uncles '92 Olds 88 with a 3800 V-6 today because he thought the compressor was going out. The noise sounds like a rod knock at idle but goes away at the slightest rpm's above idle. I removed the belt and that eliminated the noise. All pulleys... Login to read more.
