I just had one like that a couple of weeks ago. ExpLODition, 4.6l, very prominant skip, no missfire code. I pulled each wire (not COP), found #2 to have carbon track down inside of boot. Not hard to find.......but no cade to help. Not even in "Pending codes". ... Login to read more.
