I wonder if this is still so on newer Dodge engines, in that the slot on top of the oil pump drive gear for the CMP should be in line with crankshaft when it's at TDC. That leaves a 50/50 chance of getting the dist./CMP indexed correctly if you looked no furth... Login to read more.
