It's not only GM. Many Fords will do the same thing. Probably the last 20 or so I have done have not turned the light on. Put a voltmeter on the light wire & you will have 14 to 16 volts with maybe 12.8 no load though usually nothing other than battery voltage... Login to read more. ![]()
