Paul, you have to watch the oxygen sensor when you activate the aux air pump. I believe the pcm is looking to see the O2 voltage drop below 100mv. If the sensor does not drop far enough the pcm thinks the aux air system is not working. A faulty O2 sensor will ... Login to read more.
