Hi Gary,

One thing to keep in mind on Fords is that if you lose the CKP signal (PIP), the MIL will stay illuminated during cranking.

EEC-IV and EEC-V Fords will normally turn off the MIL at the first sign of activity on the CKP circuit. Login to read more.
