I agree that the test light should go out completely when the ECU transistor goes to shut off the ignition coil.

The ETM for that Bimmer shows only one wire coming off the ignition coil negative [terminal 1]. The wire goes to pin #1 of the Motronic ECU. THer... Login to read more.
