There was a problem with this on the 5.4 and 6.8 motors, not sure about the 4.6 though. Ford had a message out that stated not to install helicoils, because they may not hold. Had a 6.8 van that was helicoiled and it blew that spark plug out and burned up the ... Login to read more.
