I believe what you are refering to is the 93 to 95 2.0l "AS" ecm

this is not an obdII ecm so your model year range may be diffrent-orig. VW was supplying chips to correct this. now you just repl the ecm.I believe all the early ecm's sup. to ... Login to read more.
