An O2 sensor needs atmospheric air to produce a voltage. That is how they work, the difference in voltage of the atmosphere as compared to the exhaust produces a voltage. The voltage actually comes from the atmosphere. A rich running engine has very little O2 ... Login to read more. ![]()
