I own one of these cars myself. The consensus in the TDI world is you can use a good synthetic oil(Delvac 1 5W40 is preferred but hard to find), use good diesel properly dosed with Stanadyne or Power Service at every fill-up, and don't be afraid to run it out ... Login to read more.
