Hi Ben, this anomaly has been happening as long as C-clip rears have existed. I have never heard a reasonable explanation for why it happens, so we just accept it. I used to see it in about 1 out of 10 rears. Late models may have gone to 1 in 20. As mentioned ... Login to read more.
