I would check injector resistance. I've seen shorted injectors causing those symptoms on the 2.8 & 3.1. The increased current draw causes the ECM to shut it's drivers down. Should be around 11.5 ~ 12 ohms. You can check each bank easily at the injecto... Login to read more.
