3 - 5 seconds isn;t really long enough to react, but, I was going to suggest that SOMETIMES what we think is no fuel is really flooded, (bad purge valve, bad FPR) and holding the gas pedal down (clear flood mode) is a quick way to differentiate which way to go... Login to read more.
