Re: 2010 ford 4.6 blows nipple off intake
I haven't measured a 4.6, but on the old 3L pushrod V6, they
would happily build 45psi in the block at higher RPM with
the thermostat shut. This is by design, as high block
pressure keeps the coolant from boiling at hot spots in the
head.
