I think that it takes 1”hg vacuum to lift gasoline 1 foot. Testing the vacuum, dry, of a pump would indicate it’s dry lift capacity. I would expect that a solenoid(diaphragm) pump would make about 10” of vacuum, so that type would lift about 10feet dry. It giv... Login to read more.
