I agree the OTC 7394 or equivalent is what you need.

That type of rear-drum attachment was fairly common in that era. In fact, my 1970 Wagoneer [made by Kaiser-Jeep Corp] had that design. The Jeep factory SI referred to it as a "semi full-floating axle".
