Hi, I found a pretty clean 1999 Dodge 2500 4X4 with an 8.0 liter V-10, 162,000 miles for a reasonable price. I was seriously considering purchasing it until I read so many help requests regarding this motor. Undeterred, I researched reman engines for the inevitable failure and came up empty. My questions are these, are there still parts available for this truck and I am missing them? If I did purchase the truck, could I install a different size engine down the road? I am familiar with Toyota and Mazda products and will be the first to admit I am out of my league. Hoping to get some good advice from those who know what I do not, even if it is to just keep looking. Thanks!
