sounds like a bad egr valve happens alllllllllllllllllllll the time. They get stuck at 100% open when hot. The sticky valves are usually on low mileage cars...you can verify this only when cold, run the engine to 3000 rpm and hold it for 30 seconds, then close... Login to read more.
