Re: chev small block, squeal from rear main seal
Definitely look for excess vacuum or pressure in the crankcase. The pressure tries to equalize thru the weakest seal and can cause it to vibrate like a reed. I'm guessing, since it only does it at idle, that there is excess vacuum. The increased blowby and red... Login to read more. ![]()
