I am giving a 3rd vote for crank sensor. Heat with low engine speed is the most likely condition for failure. The tach likely falls then returns as rpm signal becomes intermittent. If you don't have a lab scope, maybe a hair dryer or ohm meter can be a helpful... Login to read more. ![]()
