Hey Ken, sounds like a frustrating vehicle. So I am curious to know if you have checked for any TSBs relating to the transmission issues you are experiencing. That would not relate to the P0101 code, but it's definitely possible that these are two separate issues. I found this TSB: NTB18-058F that describes almost all of the transmission issues that you have stated are occurring. Additionally, there is a TSB relating to the P0101 code. That is TSB NTB16-027d. This TSB is for that code, yet is for vehicles that have no drivability concerns, which is what makes me think there may be two separate issues here. My next step would be to see if those apply to this vehicle, and whether or not the TSB repairs have been performed already before continuing my diagnosis.
