Re: Correct procedure for checking 97 Explorer ball joints.
I just finished a 97 explorer with the same problem. I followed the guide lines in my specialty products catalog vertical was .030 and I had 1/4 inch of vertical movement in lower balljoints. I changed balljoints (moog) and rechecked after, no more play. Also ... Login to read more. ![]()
