I just did one on a 2010 MKZ. Same failure. Didn't find any high draw, but looking at the connector design- well it's dumb. The power feed is split and goes to 2 terminals on 14ga(?) wires while the single ground is on a 16ga wire. Right next to the ground pin... Login to read more.
