That makes sense now. If the air cleaner were restrictive, it would bias the diaphragm to lower fuel pressures accordingly. Also, if the regulator failed internally, the distance would allow a bit of fuel evaporation before ingestion, to prevent slugging the e... Login to read more. ![]()
