Craig, an ignition coil may be current limited @ 7 amps, but have a peak current of less, perhaps 6.5 amps, and still burn up. Let's discuss this. Say the duty cycle of the coil is 34%, and its peak current is 6.5 amps. OK, does this mean that 34% of the time ... Login to read more. ![]()
