I haven't done a head gasket in ages, but I recall 90's Toyota or Honda SI would say to measure the bolts to see if they stretched. Nobody had a tool to do that, accurately, and the bolts came in sets anyway....so we always just ordered new ones. Not like WE h... Login to read more.
