a 454 boat engine is making alot of lifter noise when it reaches around 3,000 rpm. If i hold it there it starts backfiring. Then i idle back down and it will quiet down and run smooth again. Oil pressure on gauge reads 30 [...] is noother engine knocks.I can r... Login to read more.
