This same thing happened to my '99 454. Coincidentally at 200,000 as well. Never had an oil problem. Never had brown or black oil in it since new. I figured either the cam lobe or the lifter wheel wore through the hardening. Once that happens, it's done. 15 lo... Login to read more.
