The only thing I can add Bruce is that those 5.0s are very susceptable to cross fire from the wires. Ford has a TSB out about the routing of ignition wires to clys 5, 6, 7, 8. 7 and 8 must be separated by 5 and 6. Many times I have seen these just bundled toge... Login to read more.
