Re: Clutch Replaced, Now MIL Inop, No Start

I want to thank everyone who tried to help with this. To be sure, all fuses and applicable relays were checked. It appeared to them at first to strictly be a no fuel issue. We found the constant control relay (?) was not closing along with no CEL at all. Manually closing the relay did operate the FP but no start. Fast forward to where I checked powers and grounds. I intended to make additional checks today as I was provided with information suggesting there may be some additional grounds I did not see on the individual charts. I satisfied my own curiosity by isolating the both the CEL control as well as the FP relay (constant control....). Grounding each made the light come on as well as the FP operate. For grins I tried starting it with those grounded but it still wouldn't. Well the shop owner didn't want to wait anymore and went ahead and ordered a new one from the dealer. The fact an ECM for a 2005 POS was in stock gave me additional confidence and comfort but I still was anxious as to how it would work out. Well he plugged it in and didn't even have to mess with the immobilizer, just turned the key and it fired right up. I'd feel a whole lot better if it was towed in for this and probably wouldn't of spent the weekend sweating this but I do not really see anything the shop did to cause this. The battery terminals, at least the positive side, are just not long enough to cross. I do think the massive corrosion ON the battery when it came in may have come into play. Who know, perhaps the vehicle flexed enough going up on the lift to cause a problem? Anyhow, it is fixed. Thanks again.
