I agree with Rob but with this difference. Use synthetic only. If the rubber is not compatible with DOT 3 or 4 lots of damage can result. This used to rear it's ugly head with British cars that used Castrol fluid. A little DOT 3 could trash the brake or clutch... Login to read more.
