IIRC, the wrong distributor won't fit. They were smart that way. 3 ohms seems way to high to me. Jumper that circuit from distributor to PCM and see if that solves the issue (as a test, not a fix). If that doesn't help then the CKP in there is likely weak. Login to read more.
