It may be better to think of it this way: 400V (Primary peak voltage) times 70 (The turns ratio) gives 31.5 kV. Consider this the maximum kV the coil can produce with the primary voltage as given. That does not mean the coil is actually producing 31.5 kV on th... Login to read more. ![]()
