Are 2001 Camry and Lexus ES300 engine blocks interchangable
Our shop has a 2001 Camry 3.0L v6 with a bad rod block. We have a 2001 Lexus ES300 3.0L engine sitting on the floor, but it has VVTi. This Camry does not have VVTi. I understand that the VVT heads cannot be used in the Camry but are the blocks interchangable? We are not too worried about the extra labor as this is just a used car for sale and the job is used as filler for this slow time of year.
